I’m Marsha B. — an award-winning journalist, content creator, Reiki practitioner, workshop facilitator, public speaker, and future astrologer — dedicated to telling stories, holding healing spaces, and empowering others to live in their full truth.
I’m an introvert who extroverts for impact.
Formerly the Senior Beauty and Fashion Editor at HelloBeautiful, I’ve spent the last decade crafting narratives that center Black women’s voices, through celebrity interviews, editorials, public speaking, and cultural commentary. My work now lives beyond the newsroom. As a public speaker, panel moderator, and event curator, I create spaces where healing, storytelling, and advocacy intersect.
What began as a personal journey with social anxiety led to Introvert N the City, a platform for those navigating the world with a tender heart and a loud mind. From that foundation, I launched the Mindful Moon Deck, a 50-card affirmation deck designed to offer grace and self-reflection in moments of uncertainty. That deck sparked a movement. I’ve since created The Love Notes Deck for romantic connection, The Moon Child Deck for kids ages 4–14, and a Spanish-language edition of Mindful Moon to broaden accessibility.
In 2024, I launched The Bloom Academy, a workshop series that teaches emotional intelligence, positive self-talk, and confidence-building to children and corporate teams alike. In 2025, I introduced VOICED — a panel series centering unfiltered conversations on identity, wellness, fertility, grief, and what it means to be seen. These events are built on one belief: your story deserves to be heard.
I’ve written for Women’s Health, HuffPost, Blavity, MadameNoire, Naturally Curly, Fashion Bomb Daily, and more. Through Introvert N the City, I continue to build community for those seeking their “awkward sister tribe” — a space that holds healing, humor, and heart in equal measure.
