I’m Marsha B. — an award-winning journalist, content creator, Reiki practitioner, workshop facilitator, public speaker, and future astrologer — dedicated to telling stories, holding healing spaces, and empowering others to live in their full truth.
I’m an introvert who extroverts for pay.
I’m the former Senior Beauty and Fashion Editor for HelloBeautiful, where I told Black stories, conducted celebrity interviews, hosted events, and spoke on panels. Throughout my career, I’ve built a passion for creating spaces where storytelling, authenticity, and advocacy meet — both in media and beyond.
My personal journey with social anxiety led me to create Introvert N the City — a platform dedicated to helping others manage anxiety, shift their inner dialogue, embrace their power, and build the lives they deserve. Working in media often placed me in rooms with remarkable people, yet fear initially kept me from making meaningful connections. Through vulnerability, I found my voice — and through Introvert N the City, I created a home for others searching for their own.
In 2020, after facing a "what am I doing with my life" moment, I felt called to create work that inspired both myself and others. That’s when I launched the Mindful Moon Deck — a 50-card affirmation deck crafted to offer grace, motivation, and self-reflection during times of uncertainty.
On days I wanted to give up, I reminded myself: "You have no idea who's watching. Keep going." When I doubted my power, I leaned on: "Everything I want to become, I already am." And when fear threatened to hold me back, I challenged myself: "Imagine where you'd be if you accepted the challenges you try to avoid."
Since then, I've expanded my offerings to include:
The Love Notes Deck — a 50-card deck designed to celebrate and deepen relationships
The Moon Child Deck — a 35-card affirmation deck for children ages 4–14
A Spanish-language edition of the Mindful Moon Deck to extend these affirmations to even more communities.
Over the last decade, I’ve written for notable publications including Women's Health, HuffPost, Blavity, MadameNoire, HelloBeautiful, Fashion Bomb Daily, Naturally Curly, Kontrol Magazine, Pynk Magazine, Everything Girls Love, and more.
Through Introvert N the City, I remain committed to lending a voice to women of color seeking their "awkward sister tribe" — building community through healing, humor, and heart.
